Dunning-Kruger Syndrome By Bella Balisi-Bevilacqua In the realm of thoughts, confidence reigns, A paradox blooms, defying logic's chains. The novice proclaims, "I'm wise and bold!" Unaware of the gaps as stories unfold. With fervent belief to stride and declare, "Knowledge is mine; there's nothing to spare!" Wisdom eludes; grasp concealed, In the shadows of insight, secrets are revealed. Humility is to learn fast; as knowledge expands, Overconfidence clings to fake pedestals. In the mirror of self, the wise discern, The limits of knowing and yearning to learn. The mind is a maze of wonder and woe, Where genuine understandings ebb and flow. For the Dunning-Kruger, a cautionary tale, To seek wisdom's depths and let ego pale. Down the path of growth, beware, Of deceptions that await, we should prepare. With soulful hearts and minds, we strive, To learn, question, and to thrive. Heed this lesson, and let it be the guide, In the pursuit of truth, with humility by your side. For in the quest for knowledge, we're all the same, Seeking wisdom's light with life's great game.
