  • Kapamilya stars have now shifted to live online selling to continue the 100 days of fundraising activities of ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN Foundation’s “Tulong-Tulong sa Pag-Ahon: Isang Daan sa Pagtutulungan” campaign for the benefit of the survivors of Super Typhoon Odette.

“The Big Online 10Dahan” officially opened last Saturday (Jan. 29) as “PBB Kumunity Season 10” adult housemates begin to sell the items they themselves made and designed including bracelets, necklaces, T-shirts, and hoodies that can be bought at @pbbkumuroom on Kumu – app.kumu.ph/pbbkumuroom. They will go live every night at 8 pm until February 7 on @pbbkumuroom on Kumu, ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel, ABS-CBN Facebook page, iWantTFC, and SKYcable HD ch. 955 and SD ch. 155.

All proceeds will go to ABS-CBN Foundation’s ongoing relief operations in Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao where many Filipinos who lost their homes and livelihoods are still struggling and in need of help to rise again.

Joining the adult housemates in encouraging people to help and donate are “PBB” housemates from different seasons starting with the Celebrity Kumunity Top 2 Alyssa Valdez and Anji Salvacion, with “PBB” host and fellow “PBB” alum Bianca Gonazlez. In the very first night, over 24 million diamonds were gifted by fans on Kumu, while most of the items also got sold out.

“One thing we learned from Kuya is that we really can help. He taught us that we can help not only our housemates but also our fellow Filipinos,” said Alyssa, who even sang and rapped to entertain the donors.

Anji, meanwhile, relished the opportunity to be a part of the fundraising, especially as one of the hardest hit areas is her hometown in Siargao Island.

“I am so blessed that even if I am far from them right now, I am happy and reassured that they are okay. Although it’s hard, I can feel that they can overcome this. We will rise again, my fellow Siargaonons.”

Just like Alyssa and Anji, Alexa Ilacad, Madam Inutz, Maris Racal, Robi Domingo also received a lot of love and support when they went live on Sunday (Jan. 30), same with Kobie Brown, Andi Abaya, Karen Bordador, Sky Quizon, and Richard Juan who took over on Monday (January 31), followed by Albie Casino, Shanaia Gomez, Benedix Ramos, Brenda Mage, Vivoree Esclito, Kim Chiu, and Enchong Dee on Tuesday (Feb. 1). Other “PBB” housemates also sent in their messages including previous Big Winners Melai Cantiveros, Slater Young, Jimboy Martin, and Nene Tamayo.

As of Jan. 31, there are already 154,190 families or 770,950 Filipinos who have received food and basic necessities from ABS-CBN Foundation with the help of partners and donors. Overall, the cash donations entrusted to ABS-CBN Foundation for this cause has reached P79,630,000, while it also received in kind donations of rice, canned goods, water, hygiene kits, and blankets worth P15,908,000.

Donors can also help by availing Tulong Bag donation vouchers on Lazada and Shopee that are equivalent to a food pack (rice and canned goods) for an individual or an entire family. For more information on how to donate, visit the website ng ABS-CBN Foundation and its Facebook, Twitter, at Instagram accounts. This campaign is under ABS-CBN Foundation DSWD Authority/Solicitation Permit, DSWD-SB-SP-00026-21, valid nationwide until May 28, 2022. (mb.com entertainment)
