Manny Pacquiao flies to South Korea to join Netflix’s hit series

MANILA, Philippines — Manny Pacquiao steps outside the boxing ring and onto the set of Netflix’s hit survival reality completion.

Pacquiao has been enlisted as part of “Physical: Asia,” the upcoming spin-off of Netflix’s global hit, “Physical: 100.”

He arrived in South Korea on Monday, Feb. 3, together with his wife Jinkee, to begin filming for the show, which will premiere in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Since its premiere in 2023, “Physical: 100” has dominated Netflix’s Global Top 10 TV Series (Non-English) rankings for two years in a row.

In previous seasons, the show featured 100 competitors — many of whom were South Korean athletes — who fought to outlast each other in a grueling individual tournament.
This time in “Physical: Asia,” top-tier athletes from the region are invited to represent their respective countries in a team-based clash of champions.

“If a single teammate falls, the entire squad is eliminated — raising the stakes and drama to unprecedented heights,” Netflix said in a press release.

Pacquiao, revered worldwide as the only boxer in history to win titles in eight weight divisions, will be the Philippines’ representative. (C. Alpad, The Manila Times)
