  • Nadine Lustre Fast TalkNow that she is finally on top of the list, some netizens are wondering how Kapamilya young actress Nadine Lustre made it to the number one spot after being ranked 49th in last year’s FHM 100 Sexiest list.

According to a statement sent by FHM Philippines’ Editor-in-Chief Allan Hernandez to ABS-CBN News, the partial and unofficial tally of this year’s FHM 100 Sexiest showed that the 22-year-old young actress is the “new crush” of the magazine’s avid readers and subscribers.

“Nadine Lustre taking the no. 1 spot as of last count on the 2016 FHM 100 sexiest list just goes to show that today’s young stars are the new crush of our current generation of readers. It would be a very big thing if Nadine eventually ends up being this year’s no. 1 and becomes the next FHM cover. It would be explosive.”

Moreover, FHM Philippines’ Editor-in-Chief pondered on how the magazine gets its votes for its annual 100 Sexiest list. Hernandez also concluded that Nadine’s ever-so supportive fans and supporters could be the reason behind the young actress’ big leap in the ranking.

“We saw a spike in her numbers after April, maybe her fans felt their idol deserved a higher ranking. That’s the beauty of the FHM 100 sexiest women list, the people have the power to choose who they think belong to the list and who should be crowned the finest in the land.”

As of now, award-winning actress Jennylyn Mercado—who dominated FHM 100 Sexiest 2015—is ranked second while Kapamilya actress Jessy Mendiola is ranked third. FHM continues its search for this year’s “sexiest woman” through its online poll which recently got extended until June 15, 2016. (chisms)
