VANCOUVER, BC — Organizers of the Lapu Lapu Day Block Party, British Columbia’s largest Filipino festival this year, have announced the full lineup for the one-day event taking place on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The festival will run from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, transforming Sunset on Fraser—Fraser Street from East 41st Avenue to East 49th Avenue in South Vancouver—into a public celebration of music, culture, and community. The event is free and open to all, with the exception of the MYX Mainstage concert, which is by donation.
This year’s festival is presented in partnership with Hogan’s Alley Society and features a strong emphasis on Black and Filipino artists, reflecting the shared histories and cultural contributions of both communities.
Headlining the MYX Mainstage are Apl.de.Ap and J Rey of the Black Eyed Peas. They will be joined by performers Talilo and Swiggle Mandela, as well as a featured drag showcase led by Aura Mayari, known for her appearance on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15. She will perform alongside local drag talents Batty Banks, Margaux Rita, and Diamonté.
The stage also includes performances by emerging artists Wavy Fay, Sade Awele, Kaya Ko, and Nikkaela. Music will be curated throughout the day by Wild Thangs DJ and DJ Marlino, and featured dancers Kassandra Pagnagalima, Kelly Blancas, Rianna Talento, Xzyannah Gonzales will be joining talent on stage, along with festival favorite Jollibee.
In addition to the MYX Mainstage, the Lapu Lapu Stage will feature performances by local Filipino talent Chlo, Raven Pedron, Jessamine, Rossinite Band, Marzia, and Amalia Mamalia.
A Dance Stage will highlight cultural and contemporary dance, with appearances by Table Tutors, DJ Relik, FCS Kalahi Cultural Dance Ensemble, and Mayo Landicho.
The festival will also host a range of cultural and community activities throughout the day, including a street parade, a screening of the film Inay, a fashion show, breakdance competition, traditional dance performances, and Zumba led by local seniors. All non-concert programming is free of charge and designed to welcome families and community members of all ages.
