Bea Alonzo, who is in Star Cinema’s 25th anniversary production, “Kasal,” cannot count the number of times she played a bride on the big and small screens. But this time is different, she said.
“Kasal” is unlike her other films, but she refuses to divulge further. “Mas maganda kasing panoorin, lalo pa nga at ang groom ko ay si Paulo (Avelino),” she explained, “Ang laki na nang in-improve as an actor ni Paulo since we did ‘Sana Bukas Pa ang Kahapon’ in 2014. Lalo siyang gumaling.” Is her wedding in “Kasal” similar to her dream wedding? “Sa totoo lang, if I would have my way, I would want my wedding solemnized near a lake or in a garden,” Bea replied. “And I’d like only a few people, people really close to me and my groom, to be at the wedding.” Right now, though, marriage is farthest from her mind.
She and actor Gerald Anderson are no longer together, she said. Her interest right now is her career, she added. She will resume work on the movie “Eerie,” with Charo Santos-Concio and directed by Mikhail Red. Next, she will start work on her first film with Aga Muhlach, with Paul Soriano at the helm.
