Ever-blunt talent manager Annabelle Rama shocked the press as she broke down after revealing that her daughter Ruffa Gutierrez recently figured in an incident wherein the latter wasn’t able to breathe for almost five minutes.
Annabelle who was casually talking about how the fourth season of the reality show It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez suddenly turned serious as she recounted that she does not want to lose her only daughter.
“Kahit may gusto akong sabihin kay Ruffa na hindi ko masabi-sabi takot akong mamatay siya sa konsumisyon kasi namatay na siya ng five minutes eh kaya ayoko magkatotoo ‘yun,” she started.
Without getting into details, the Gutierrezes shared that Richard rushed Ruffa to the hospital last week after something “scary” happened to her.
Ruffa’s daughters Lorin and Venice described the incident as “nothing they’ve seen anywhere before.”
To this Ruffa said, “Hindi ko maalala. I was doing things that I didn’t know. … parang I was acting in strange way.Siguro mga five or six minutes. … Laging madaling araw. It’s not the first time,” she said.
Annabelle earlier shared that last week was the fourth time that it has happened to Ruffa, the last one being months ago.
According to Ruffa the incident, which she said could be a form of “possession,” always happens to her at around 4:30 in the morning. What rather puzzles Ruffa was the fact that she had herself checked by a doctor after it happened but the findings all came out clear.
But the worried Annabelle, who once again was reduced to tears during an interview after the press conference, is bent on getting a second opinion for Ruffa.
“Papa-check ko siya sa abroad kasi hindi ako sure kasi sabi ng doctor walang findings. Sabi ko pupunta kami sa Singapore papa-check ko siya doon,” she said. “Kasi sa kwento sa akin ni Richard ‘Mommy it’s very scary’kasi siya ang witness eh. Gusto niyang may mangyari pero hindi siya makatulong, wala siyang magawa kinakarga niya lang si Ruffa.”
Since the idea of “possession” came in Annabelle also shared that Cristalle Belo recommended for Ruffa to see an “espiritista.”
“Ako naman I don’t believe that kasi palasimba at pala-dasal ako eh. Sabi ko ‘Ruffa, magdasal ka.’ Ako hindi ako naniniwala sa ganon kasi baka lalo kang magkaroon ng worries kapag sinabi sayo na ‘Uy merong multo diyan,’” explained Annabelle.
Annabelle confessed that what happened with Ruffa somehow made her rethink things about the two of them.
“As a mother kasi, doon mo mare-realize na maski hate na hate mo siya at lagi kayong nag-aaway, mare-realize mo na kapag nawala pala siya, iba ang feeling mo,” she said.
Annabelle continued, “Kasi for me tanggap ko na mawala na siya pero iba pala ang feeling kapag ‘yung actualna. Kaya nafe-feel ko ‘yun as a mother na mahirap mawalan ng anak, parang ganon eh.”
For what it’s worth, Annabelle shared that the public would get to see what happened to Ruffa on the upcoming fourth season of their family’s reality show. It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez airs on Monday, July 25 on E! News Philippines. (M.M. Belmonte)
