Monkey Man !
Sheer spectacle awaits those willing to brave the wilds for The Legend of Tarzan. Escape to the jungles to learn first hand the motivation and birth of a one of a kind hero. Newly minted from Warner Brothers this lavish adventure is now enthralling audiences at Cineplex Odeon Theatres around
Escapism is in high gear here. Based obviously on the classic Edgar Rice Burroughs novels this jarring tale is engaging from start to finish. Smart set up shots see how this human is largely left in the wilds in The Congo on his own before being raised by the apes. Oh, and once a bit older this jungle boy makes goo goo ga ga with the worldly blonde Jane. Continuing her meteoric rise to stardom is a delightful Margo Robbie who is a perfect match for this rough around the edges man in loin cloth who cleans up rather nice to become an aristocrat .
Alexander Skarsgard sizzles as the man as the little clothed transplant. Look for many a young lady’s hearts to go pitter patter when they see this hunk swinging from the vines or swimming with the rhinos.
Good stories need bad villains. Fresh off his hit portrayal of ice cold criminal mastermind Blofeld in last year’s James Bond hit Spectre comes Christoph Waltz. Talk about evil and cunning. Stunning stunt work, lively animals and a hero like no other turn The Legend of Tarzan into king size entertainment.
