Aside from her 20- minute opening segment which included a video, her message, and two performances, Ria also hosted the Question-and-Answer portion for the Top 16 semi-finalists which questions she formulated herself. Upon request, she once again gave two more performances as the audience waited for the results.
Ria, also referred to as The Face of ReyFort Media, met Miss World Chairman Ike Lalji at the Vancouver Multicultural Society dinner fundraiser in December 2013.

Because she was not old  enough to join the pageant, Mr. Lalji gave her these very important roles because he was very impressed with her and ‘wanted to show the world that Miss World Canada supports the youth and what Ria is doing’ further saying that ‘Ria is a great role model for the youth’.

Ria also hosted the Swimwear and Talent Preliminaries held at the Pacific Inn Resort and Convention Centre the week of the pageant. To view videos of Ria
