  • Gretchen-BarrettoMatagal nawala sa Pilipinas si Gretchen Barretto. Sinamahan niya ang kanyang nag-iisang anak na si Dominique Cojuangco sa London, kung saan ito nag-aaral ngayon. Ngayon ay balik-Pinas na ang aktres at may sisimulan siyang pelikula para sa Star Cinema. Makakasama ni Gretchen dito sina Richard Gomez, Jessy Men­diola, at John Lloyd Cruz. Sa story conference ng natur­ang pelikula noong Lunes, No­vember 25, sa 14th floor ng ELJ Bldg., sa ABS-CBN, nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at ilan pang miyembro ng media si Gretchen.

    Dito ay tinanong ang ak­tres kung nakatulong ba ang bakasyon niya sa London upang mahilom ang sarili sa masasakit  na pinagdaraanan niya dahil sa lumalalang away ng pamilya Bar­retto.
    Sagot ni Gretchen, “I can’t say na nag-heal. “So, I can’t deny na masakit kung sa masakit… nakakagulo, nakakagulo “But, nakakabangon din.

    “Of course, tinawagan ako ng ABS CBN, ‘Come home, the project is ready, let’s have a meet­ing.’
    “So, nandito ako.” Dagdag niya, “Hindi ko rin ma­sasabi na walang sama ng loob.
    “Mayroong sama ng loob, mayroong sakit.
    “Yun, hindi ko na made-deny yun, that’s it.”
    Pero ayon din kay Gretchen, “Kailangang ibahin ko na ang utak ko, hindi puwedeng puro na lang sakit.
    “‘Yang sakit na ‘yan, I will re­serve it. I will keep it somewhere.
    “Gagamitin ko na lang pag nag-shooting uli ako.
    “Pag kailangan ko ang emo­syon na ‘yan, gagamitin ko.
    “That is going to make it more positive.
    “Makikita ninyo sa pelikulang ito, lahat ng sakit, ilalabas ko. “Pagkakakitaan ko, hindi yung  sayang naman.
    “May pinagdaanan ka na, e, gamitin ko na lang.”
    SUPPORT SYSTEM. Sabi pa ni Gretchen, kahit nasa London siya noon ay parang nasa Pilipi­nas pa rin siya dahil sa ipinaparat­ing na pagmamahal at suporta ng kanyang mga kaibigan.
    “Nung nasa London ako, yung suporta ng mga kaibigan, kung anuman ang pinagdaanan ko, nandun.
    “Nagti-text, nag-i-Skype, nag­i-email, nagpe-Facebook, private message…
    “Naramdaman ko na parang nasa Pilipinas lang ako.
    “Naramdaman ko na maram­ing naniniwala sa akin, maraming nagmamahal.
    “And, hindi ako tumigil sa pag­darasal.
