It is reported that ringside seats will go to as high as $ 67,000 for the MayPac Fight while a general admission could fetch about $ 4,000 in the secondary market. A standard economy room at the MGM Grand costs about $ 1,650 a night for May 1st and 2nd. However, like during Super Bowl time, being in Las Vegas with family or friends is just enough to feel the electricity and energy of the MayPac Fight. There are a lot of cool places to watch on May 2nd from themed Sports Bars to the hotel’s mega Sports Book section. Here are the best places to watch the Big Fight in Vegas from a popular chicken wing franchise to a plush sports bar owned by a world renowned chef.
Sport Bars Buffalo Wild Wings (BWW) is the go to place for beer and wings during March Madness and the Super Bowl and it also has international presence in the Philippines so some Filipinos are used to its 17 sauces from Caribbean Jerk to the Asian spicy Mango Habanero. Not bad for a $ 1 a piece. The BWW with close proximity to the South of the Strip fills up very fast being near most of the hotels and time share properties but there are other branches located in North Las Vegas and Henderson as well for people who want to be away from the crowd. Twin Peaks is fairly new on the Strip but has already captured the hearts of the local and visiting sport fans. Just imagine Hooters in a mountain lodge setting and watching the Big Fight while drinking draft beer served at a teeth-chattering 29 degrees.
Bonus: Rock Climbing Wall. Blondie’s Sports Bar located at the Miracle Mile Shops inside Planet Hollywood. Its regulars joke around that Blondie’s has enough large-screen TVs to rival Times Square. Blondie’s servers wear classic cheerleading outfits. TAG Sports Bar at the LINQ Hotel ( formerly Imperial Palace ). Great location in the Strip with 300 different beers to choose from during the Big Fight.
TIP: If you play video poker there’s a chance you can have your beer comped for free. While The Pub at Monte Carlo has 100 different beers to choose from as well come May 2nd.
CImami Burger at the new SLS Hotel. Have the famous CImami Burger, which GQ Magazine voted “ Burger of the Year “ with beer at the Beer Garden during the fight. Ainsworth, the high-end sports bar imported from NYC, has a Hard Rock location. The most luxurious sports den of them all is Lagasse’s Stadium ( formerly Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club ) at the Palazzo. Emeril Lagasse’s comfort food menu with 100 screeens and the most comfortable couch you’ll ever sit on watching the fight.
Pool Parties
Just happened that the Big Fight was scheduled during pool party time in Sin City which is April to October. These are the headliners for May 2nd. Mayweather lucky charm Justin Bieber will be hosting the REHAB Pool Party at the Hard Rock. The REHAB which started the pool party scene in Sin City more than a decade ago is expected to be so packed that even with its 3,000 guest capacity you might not even see the water. Bieber fans shouldn’t worry about not being able to gain access to this pool party as pop idol will be part of Mayweather’s entourage to the boxing ring. The MGM has its own popular pool party brand Wet Republic and they’re bringing in Scottish DJ Calvin Harris to host on Fight Day. After his success in Coachella, French DJ David Guetta will be hosting at the Encore Beach Club.
After Parties
Vegas has a star-studded after party line-up on the night of the Big Fight. The Tao Group has hip hop mogul JayZ hosting at the Marquee in the Cosmopolitan and Snoop Dogg at TAO. Puff Daddy is throwing an after party at the Havana Room Beach Club of the New Tropicana. Over at the new Cromwell, Chris Brown will debut as Drai’s Nightclub resident performer on May 2. From Wet Republic, Calvin Harris continues at MGM’s mega Hakkasan Nightclub with Burn. Would be cool if Taylor Swift came in for the after party. For the ultimate theatrical nightlife experience and for Cirque du Soleil lovers, Light at Mandalay Bay has Swedish DJ Alesso. Rapper Jermaine Dupri will be at Tryst, Diplo at Surrender Nightclub, and Afrojack at the lavishly designed and spacious Omnia Nightclub at Caesars. My estimate is a minimum consumption of $ 2,500 per table for bottle service.
