Surrey Libraries helps shift the story by challenging stigma

  • A unique and powerful experience awaits! Surrey Libraries has partnered with Fraser Health to
    deliver Shifting the Story: Challenging Stigma on May 6 at Semiahmoo branch.

    In this program, youre invited to connect with brave community members who will talk about
    their experiences with stigma, including mental health, substance use, disabilities, 2SLGBQTIA+,
    immigrant experience, living unhoused, Indigenous experience, and other topics. In addition to
    English, some speak Panjabi, Hindi, Urdu, or Dari. Sign up for one or more storytellers who will
    share their story in 15minute appointments.

    Explore your own beliefs and work together to create a strong, inclusive, and healthy
    community through this innovative program.
