Angeline Quinto says she dreams of winning a Best Actress trophy someday

  • Ratsada sa pagiging movie star ang beauty ng singer na si Angeline Quinto. Kinabog pa niya ang ibang legit na movie star sa pagiging busy sa kanilang career.

    Palabas sa Aug. 10 ang first movie niya sa Regal Films na That Thing Called Tanga Na at kasalukuyan naman siyang naglalagare sa dalawa pang movie – ang Never Been Kissed, Never Been Touchedna launching niya sa Regal with Jake Cuenca at sa indie movie naManikan Ye Tabi with Allen Dizon na entry sa upcoming Cinema One Originals.

    May motibo pala si Angge kaya tanggap siya nang tanggap ng pelikula. Gusto raw niyang maging Best Actress baling araw.

    “Dream ko talaga, sinasabi ko nga sa mga kakilala ko, magiging best actress ako pero tinatawanan nila ako. Siguro sa pagkakakilala po nila sa akin na kalog, palabiro, akala nila joke yon,” pag-amin ni Angeline.

    Dagdag pa niya, “Hindi naman siguro sa walang naniniwala o hindi sila naniniwala, akala kasi nila nagdyu-joke lang ako.

    “Dream ko po talaga na maging Best Actress. Nag-umpisa po ako dati sa MMK, do’n po ako unang umarte din. So, sabi ko, sana dumating yung time na mas marami pa akong magawang role.” Meron din daw siyang particular role na gusto sanang gampanan.

    “Minsan, pag tinatanong po ako kung ano pa po yung dream role ko, sabi ko, gusto kong makagawa ng yung medyo baliw na role kasi parang… yung sa Budoy nga ni Gerald Anderson parang medyo mahirap yon, di ba?” sabi pa niya.

    Baka raw sa pagsabak niya sa indie ay matupad ang pangarap niya na ma-recognize bilang magaling na aktres.

    “Malay po natin ‘di ba? Wala naman pong masamang mangarap. At saka, ginusto ko rin talaga na magkaroon ng kahit isa lang indie film.

    Eh, hindi ba siya natatakot na ang multi-awarded actor na si Allen Dizon ang makakatrabaho niya sa pelikula?

    “Actually, hindi naman po siguro mawawala yon. Kasi sa pagkanta din, hanggang ngayon kinakabahan ako, eh, what more po sa pag-arte na sa aming lahat, eh, ako po talaga yung pinakabago. Kasi ako naman po, kapag may mga ganito akong nakakasamang artista na napakatagal na sa industriya at talagang magagaling, nilalakasan ko na lang po ang loob ko na magtanong po.

    “Kumbaga, ‘Tito, hindi ko alam kung paano gagawin ‘to, paano ba?’ So para mas mawala yung kaba ko, eh. Saka for me naman, tinitingnan ko ito na blessing talaga sa akin kesa kabahan ako sa eksenang gagawin ko. At least, kasama ko sila, proud ako na nakasama ko po sila,” paliwanag pa niya.

    Hihingi rin daw siya ng konting tips kay Coco Martin na nagsimula sa indie.

    “Kung hindi siya busy, siyempre. Siguro before po ako mag-umpisa dito. Alam naman natin na si Coco ay napakaraming nalalaman niyan about sa indie film dahil do’n siya nanggaling. Saka kung may kinakailangan akong malaman about doing indie film, lalayo pa ba ako? Eh, di kay Coco na lang, isa rin naman siya malapit sa akin,” sabi pa ni Angeline.
