Lugaw, caravan in Vancouver for Leni

  • Vancouver-based supporters of Leni Robredo will hold two events this weekend in support of their presidential candidate.

    One is on Saturday (November 13), wherein lugaw, a favourite Pinoy food also called goto and known here in Canada as congee, will be served.

    The lugawan will be held at Trout Lake in Vancouver (3360 Victoria Drive) from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

    The event is being organized by the Solid Leni Bicol – Metro Vancouver group of organizer Malou Perez-Capuco.

    This will be followed by a Canada Caravan of Hope – Vancouver event on Sunday (November 14).

    The event is being organized by the Global Filipinos for Leni Canada, Global Pinoy Diaspora Canada, 1 Sambayan Canada Chapter, BC Kami kay Leni, and Vancouver BC 4 Leni 2022.

    The Vancouver caravan will have Treenee Lopez and Tom Choy as leads.

    The motorcade will have the following route starting at Joyce St (St. Mary’s Parish) [South] 12:30 pm, E 41st St [West], Fraser St [North], E King Edward Ave. [West], Main St. [North], 12th Ave. [East], Kingsway Ave. [South East], Knight St. [South], Bridgeport Rd [West], No. 3 Rd. [South], Alderbridge Way [East], and ends at Lansdowne Mall.

    Another caravan is scheduled on the same day in Victoria.

    The caravan leads in Victoria are Roy San Buenaventura and Rom Cannen.

    The route starts at 757 Burnside Rd. (St Joseph the Worker Parish, pre-school parking) [South] 10:30 am, McKenzie Ave. [East], Quadra St. [South], Caledonia Ave. [West], Douglas St. [South], Douglas St. Victoria City Hall) [South], Belleville St. [East], Blanshard St. (St Andrews Cathedral) [North], Blanshard St. (Bayanihan) [North], Bay St. [East], Shelbourne St [North], and ends at Shelbourne St. (Hillside Mall Food court) 11:45 am.
