Sarah says ‘no‘ to darna

  • Sarah Geronimo is thankful to everyone who wants to see her playing “Darna.”

“Nagpapasalamat po ako at flattered naman ako na kino-consider ako,” she said.

(“I’m thankful and flattered to be considered for the part.”)

But, she added, she believes she won’t be able to fill the boots – or in this case, the bikini – of the Pinoy superhero.

“Wala akong boobs, anong magagawa natin?” she joked.

(“I have no boobs, what can we do?”)

Known for being very modest, Sarah thinks there are other actresses more qualified to play the iconic role.

“Baka naman na negative-an sila sa akin noong sinabi ko na, ‘Eh, ‘di wow! Gusto ninyo ba makakita ng Darna na naka-jumpsuit?’ Kasi matagal ko na po iyang sinasabi na hindi talaga iyon para sa akin kasi iconic iyong role,” she explained.

(“They might think me negative because I said, ‘Wow! Would you want to see Darna in a jumpsuit?’ But I’ve long said that I’m not fit to play the iconic role.”)
