  • Now that “Sunday Noontime Live” on TV5 has been cancelled, will former Kapamilya stars Piolo Pascual, Catriona Gray, and Maja Salvador return to ABS CBN?

In October 2020, former Congressman Albee Benitez, owner of Brightlight Productions, said that Piolo, Maja and Catriona are not exclusive to TV5 or Brightlight Productions. This means that they can work with the other networks or stations if they want to.

“They are not exclusive to our company. They have contracts to the show pero hindi sila exclusive. So anytime gusto nilang lumipat or magtrabaho sa ibang network, puwede naman basta tapusin lang nila ang commitment nila sa BrightLight,” he said.

Benitez said that BrightLight and TV5 have a blocktime arrangement for six months. “After six months, we will shift to co-production status. Perhaps later we will discuss about additional time slots for the network.”

Fans wouldn’t be surprised if the three stars would go back to the Kapamilya network since they maintain good relationships with executives of ABS-CBN. (N.P. Nepomuceno, MB)
