  • paulwalkerDecember 7, 2013 was a perfect day to be remembering the late actor Paul Walker- -philanthropist, friend, brother and father. The Vancouver sun was diamond bright across the crystal blue winter sky—and over 500 “Fast and Furious” movie fans and car enthusiasts got together to celebrate the brilliant spirit of a human being who touched many lives with his quiet, but powerful kindness.

On November 30, 2013, Walker and his friend Roger Rodas attended a charity car show, hosted by his chari-table foundation, Reach Out World- Wide (ROWW), before he and Rodas lost their lives by a tragic car accident. Walker was fundraising for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan that ravaged the Philippines on November 8, 2013.

Lorenzo Garcia, a Filipino-Canadian teen, was so moved by Walker’s untimely passing that he organized a Paul Walker and Roger Rodas car cruise charity in honour of his favourite actor and fellow car enthusiast. A total of $2,300 was raised (which includes the sale of Paul Walker Tribute stickers by N-Motion) and the Canadian Red Cross will be matching the amount dollar for dollar. Garcia’s tenacity and generosity mirrors the actions of Paul Walker, who founded the foundation ROWW: “When you put good will out there, it’s amazing what can be accomplished”.

Reach Out WorldWide sent a team of trained medical professionals and first responders to the remote area of BayBay in the island of Leyte. One of the hardest hit areas by Typhoon Haiyan. ROWW has also initiated a deployment with Waves For Water to provide approximately 20,000 people access to clean water. Waves for Water is a charitable foundation with a mission: “To get clean water to every single person who needs it”.

Paul Walker will be best remembered for his role as Brian O’Connor in the Fast and Furious blockbuster franchise. However, he will also be remembered as someone who had a zest for life and a passion for helping others.
