San Jose, California — It’s football’s big night at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
Star players of the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers graced the opening night with the media before facing off on Superbowl Sunday.
But Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach was a gem among the football superstars.
A number of TV hosts and personalities made sure they also shared face time with Pia.
“I’m very excited to be here at the Superbowl, it’s a big deal here in America,” said Pia. “I’m so happy that inside edition trusted me.”
When asked about the tips given to her about reporting, she said: “Just be myself.”
Hundreds of reporters from all over the world are here for football’s big opening night. And this is Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach’s first taste of tv reporting.
Pia gamely showed off her moves with the Carolina Panthers.
Kenny Anunike of the Denver Broncos gave Pia some dance lessons.
Inside Edition correspondent Megan Alexander shares reporting duties with Pia.
When asked about the experience of reporting together with the reigning Miss Universe, Megan answered: “We’re thrilled to have Pia, she’s electric.”
“[I told her to] keep having fun and don’t take it too seriously. We want to see the fun side of players… Pia can do that.”
Pia said she might consider becoming a TV reporter after her reign as Miss Universe.
“Why not? I got this job right away after one month as Miss Universe, so that’s a good sign.”
Pia is expected to do more interviews and segments leading up to game day coverage on Superbowl Sunday, February 7th.(P.Henson, abs-cbn)
