  • kim-chiuKim Chiu took to social media to address naysayers who criticized her recent win as best actress at the 28th PMPC Star Awards for Television. The ABS-CBN artist won the Best Drama Actress award for her role in “Ikaw Lamang,” besting Angel Locsin and Maja Salvador of “The Legal Wife,” Bea Alonzo of “Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon,” and Lovi Poe and Maricel Soriano of “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real.”

But several hours before the awarding ceremony on Sunday, a tweet surfaced claiming that Kim will get the best actress trophy at the Star Awards.

Kim shrugged off the rumor with a post on her Twitter account. “Kung binibili ang award sana bumili na ko noon pa po,” she said.

On her Instagram account a few hours after receiving her Star Awards for TV Best Actress trophy, Kim said: “Sa lahat ng nag-doubt kung bakit ako yung nanalo, gagawin ko po kayong dagdag inspirasyon ko para pagbutihin ko pa ang trabaho ko.. Maraming salamat sa inyo!” (C.Smith, PS)
