Composer David Foster dubbed her as a “Golden Girl”  when he hit the Golden Buzzer at Asia’s Official-Gerphil2Got Talent, which sent her straight into the semi-finals.  He was so amazed at her performance that he said that he promises that, “the world is gonna know about you.” The 24-year old crossover-classical singer and Asia’s Got Talent (AGT) third place winner, joined Canadian record producer Foster in his Asian concert series David Foster & Friends which will begin in Kuala Lumpur in August of 2015.

Foster has been known to include many Filipino talents in his concert tours, including Charice Pempengco, who also produced her first international album in 2010.

Gerphil feels overwhelmed at the many other opportunities that came her way after AGT. She said that everything has yet to sink in because this is all a dream come true for her.  She has been performing in corporate and private functions as well as TV appearances. She has also been under contract with Fremantle Media, the gerphil-flores-asias-got-talentfranchise owner of the Got talent shows.

She is very grateful to those who have continuously showed their support for her like OPM artists Lea Salonga and Regine Velasquez and the fans, and is constantly overwhelmed with the support of fans who take time to see her at the malls.

Gerphil is also busy continuing her studies and is currently enrolled in mid-year classes at the UP College of Music and finish her Bachelors of Music degree.

She always takes the chance to sing in churches whenever she can because she believes that’s one of the ways she can give thanks for all the blessings she has received. She sang for a healing Mass of Fr. Faller which is aired on ABS-CBN.

Gerphil will be coming to Canada to do some shows: February 14 at Kay Meek Theatre, West Vancouver; February 15 at the White Eagle Hall, Victoria; February 17 at the Westminster United Church, Winnipeg and February 19 at the Centre Stage, Surrey City Hall, BC. The shows are produced by TRIBU productions. Contact [email protected] or call 604-339-7568; 604-888-5624.Rosette Correa
