  • After many years of being a Kapuso, even becoming one of its biggest stars, heartthrob Dingdong Dantes set foot on his home studio’s rival network, ABS-CBN, on July 27.
    Although many were shocked to see Dingdong inside the ABS­CBN building last July 27, he nevertheless had a purpose for being there because he was invit­ed as guest celebrity VJ for MYX, the network’s music channel.

    dingdong-dantesDingdong’s stint in MYX, which is part of his promotion of “The Dingdong Dantes Experi­ence” video and music album, will air from Aug. 9 to 22. When cornered for an inter­view, Dingdong reminisced the past. “Naaalala ko, semi-regular ako dati sa isang show dito [ABS­CBN], yung ‘Keep On Dancing.’” he said when interviewed by a “Showbiz News Ngayon” reporter.

    “[Looking around now], parang walang nagbago.” What Ding­dong meant was that he still feels at home with ABS-CBN.“Ang ganda naman ng pakikitungo sa akin magmula nang… pagdating ko … hanggang ngayon,” he said about his visit. Did he fear bumping into his ex-girlfriend Karylle in the ABS­CBN hallways?

    “Hindi naman. Wala namang dapat ikatakot or iwasan.” Ding­dong added that if it happens, he will definitely greet her. “Sig­uro I’ll tell her, ‘Nice place you got here.’” Dingdong and Karylle were sweethearts for more than a year until everything soured in their relationship. The actor is said to be the current boyfriend of Marian Ri­vera, although no admission has been made. (mb.com.ph)
