TV host Boy Abunda is hopeful that his friends Kris Aquino and Ai Ai delas Alas would patch things up when the time is right. “(I pray for) peace and prosperity and love,” Boy told ABS-CBN News in an interview. The former close friends’ alleged falling out supposedly happened around the time the latter was grieving the death of her biological mother, Gloria Hernandez.
Ai Ai apparently felt Kris had not been there for her when she needed moral support; Kris, meanwhile, was in London at the time.
Boy said, “Sino ba naman ang hindi magdadasal na sana magkaayos-ayos ang mag kakaibigan? That’s one of my prayers.”
On other matters, particularly about his show “The Bottomline” being named Best Public Affairs Program at the PMPC Star Awards For TV, Boy said, “You never get used to winning.”
“After all these years, sabi ko nga I have a Hall of Fame award for showbiz-oriented talk show host. Akala ko noon masasanay ako sa pagtanggap ng mga parangal. Hindi. It’s always like you’re getting it for the first time.
“We should be better. We don’t have an excuse not to be better… Parang kapag nakakatanggap ka ng ganitong mga parangal, it humbles you and you remain a student and you keep on learning,” said he.
As to his health condition, Boy said he is “fully recovered, fully restored” after he underwent surgery due to an abscess in his liver. “Sa lahat ng nagdasal, maraming, maraming salamat. Sobrang okay na. Nakikita ko na ang araw kapag umaga,” said he. (mb)
