    By Alan Samuel

Hard edged with a lot of soul is I Saw The Light. Hot indeed this dynamic portrayal of a music legend comes our way from Mongrel Media. Get down with some snappy stringing and music to match at The Fifth Avenue Theatre.

Fabled country singing legend Hank Williams comes under lots of scrutiny in this recounting of his tumultuous life. Full value for his portrayal of the country icon is Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers). Hear the music and see the ups and downs in this dynamic performers life from start to finish.

Centre stage In This horse opera is wife Audrey. Played with considerable coy as a wannabe singer to the fabulous Hank is Elizabeth Olsen. Yes, this  Dynamo of a woman in her own right can certainly go toe to toe with Hank. Over time their relationship is put to the test as bouts with the bottle and a woman or two on the side by this sly road happy guy has a funny, well not so funny way of coming between them.

Very good singing  and hit timeless  tunes are part of the  fun in this very engaging biographical sketch that has great atmosphere with a perfect nostalgic feel to it. So expect music fans and country admirers  to love I Saw The Light  as will Williams Fans undoubtedly.
