Fundraising for Lapu-Lapu 2025

    • The community came together on November 9, 2024 to support fundraising efforts for the return of the Lapu-Lapu festival in Vancouver in spring 2025.

    The event held at the St. Patrick’s Parish gym raised more than $7,000 for the multicultural festival inspired by the legacy of Lapu-Lapu, the first national hero of the Philippines.

    The Lapu-Lapu street party will be held on April 26, 2025 at the side alleys west of Fraser Street from East 41st to East 49th Avenues in Vancouver.

    The festival is being organized by Filipino BC and various partners.

    The fundraising for Lapu-Lapu 2025 was organized by the Cebuano Society of BC, Canada; Diversity and Inclusion Support Group of BC; and the Seniors Intercultural Society of BC.
