When community builder Yuanheng Holdings first learned about the need for a new acute care tower at Richmond Hospital in 2018, they pledged a generous $100,000 over a five-year period. This past December, Yuanheng Holdings made their final donation of $20,000 and has now fulfilled their pledge towards building the future Yurkovich Family Pavilion.

“We believe that having good health care is important for the community, so we are pleased to support Richmond Hospital Foundation in enabling quality health care services now and into the future,” says Grant Lin, President, Yuanheng Holdings. Yuanheng Holdings is developing ViewStar, a 1.3 million square foot waterfront community in Richmond featuring residential homes, office space and a community centre. “Although our $100,000 acute care tower pledge is now complete, we are committed to building a culture of philanthropy to support local health care among residents of our ViewStar community.”

The original Richmond Hospital, which opened in 1966, will be replaced when the Yurkovich Family Pavilion, a new acute care tower, opens. With a new emergency department, medical imaging centre, more operating rooms, private inpatient rooms and much more, the expanded hospital will provide Richmond’s growing population with improved access to quality health care.

“Yuanheng Holdings is a leader in building new homes in Richmond, and we are grateful they have stepped forward to be part of the solution in advancing health care,” shares Natalie Meixner, President & CEO, Richmond Hospital Foundation. “The future Yurkovich Family Pavilion will be transformational for the well-being of our community. Access to the best possible health care is important to our diverse and growing population of Richmond residents.”
