  • The annual North Shore Art Crawl is live! Now is the time to explore the artists of Vancouver’s  North Shore, for audiences local and far-away. North Van Arts is proud to launch the 2021  Online North Shore Art Crawl as a month-long virtual event from March 12 – April 12, 2021.  Visitors can scroll and swipe their way across the North Shore by visiting artist webpages  showcasing studio practices, processes, artwork, and the inspiration behind their creative  vision. Whether you are looking for West Coast landscapes, florals, textiles, photography,  glasswork, portraits, pottery, nature scenes, abstract, jewellery, gift ideas or more, this art  crawl has it.

Each spring, typically artist workspaces, local community and commercial galleries, and  host businesses across the North Shore open their doors to the public for a weekend of  studio visits, shopping, and gallery hopping. This year is different due to the global  pandemic, as we pivot to an online format to keep our artists and community safe, but also  expand the audience who will be able to engage with these creative, passionate artists.

This is a great opportunity for art lovers with an internet connection, from across Canada  and the globe, to meet the talented artists of Vancouver’s North Shore. See how this place  shapes and informs the artists’ unique perspectives, living and working in a region nestled  between the sea, the mountains, and the forest with a diverse population from all corners  of the world.

The pandemic has put significant pressure on visual artists, impacting their opportunities  to showcase their art due to cancellations or restrictions, disconnecting many of them from  audiences and patrons. Rather than cancelling the North Shore Art Crawl, we transformed  the event to a virtual offering to connect audiences to our North Shore Artists during these  challenging times.

North Van Arts identified that with a month-long online event, many artists would need  additional support to represent their work in the digital realm. Providing custom artist  webpages for online visitors to explore for the Art Crawl, the organization also equipped  artists with extensive digital and marketing resources to support expanding their own  online presence.

The North Shore Art Crawl is a perfect opportunity to explore a wide range of artists’ works  from the comfort of your home, at your own pace, with the opportunity to connect with the  artists to learn more about their practice and purchase their work –

    https://northvanarts.ca/north-shore-art-crawl/ start your crawl today!

Art sales must be arranged with individual artists. Some artist studios are businesses that may  be open for in-person viewing. See artist webpages for contact information.
