Many locations to open one hour earlier on select weekdays and Sunday openings return.
[Abbotsford, BC] – Fraser Valley Regional Library is expanding its hours to serve customers better. Beginning June 21, many locations will open one hour earlier on most weekdays. Libraries that were open Sunday pre-pandemic will see those hours return.
“The community is eager to get earlier weekday access to the library,” says Heather Scoular, Director of Customer Experience. “Extending the hours with new 9 am openings is something our customers have been clamoring for, along with the return to regular Sunday hours. FVRL continues to reimagine library services and create new ones based on the shift in customer behaviours and needs.”
“FVRL staff have continually risen to the challenges presented over the past 15 months,” says Gayle Martin, Board Chair, “I know customers are excited to have more access to the physical library.”
Library staff have worked hard to create an in-person library experience that is welcoming and safe for all. Customers can expect friendly staff and access to much of the library’s public space and services, including computer and printer access. FVRL Express holds pick up service is still available for customers who prefer a more convenient and contact-free experience.
