Xia Vigor, nakianib sa isang children’s organization upang tumulong sa Taal evacuees

  • Maging ang child actress na si Xia Vigor ay tumulong na rin sa mga naapektuhan ng pagputok ng Bulkang Taal nitong Linggo.

    Kamakailan, sumama ang “Miracle in Cell No. 7” star sa pagbisita ng Save the Children Philippines sa dalawang evacuation centers sa Balayon, Batangas upang magtayo ng Child Friendly Spaces (CFS) mobile para sa mga mga kabataang apektado ng nasabing pagsabog. 

    Ilan sa mga activities na isinagawa ng Save the Children kasama si Xia ay read-along activity, storytelling, coloring, at free play. 

    “I would like to tell other children that what happened to them is only temporary and they should not lose hope,”  ani Xia sa panayam ng ABS-CBN News.  

    Ayon naman kay Atty. Alberto Muyot, ang Chief Executive Officer ng Save the Children Philippines, “Natural calamities such as the Taal Volcano eruption have devastating and prolonged impact on children as they are forced to leave homes, miss out on school and stay in evacuation centers without knowing when they will be home.”

    Nakataas pa rin ang Alert Level 4 sa Taal Volcano mahigit isang linggo matapos nitong unang nag-alboroto. Mahigit sa 39,000 na residente ang napilitang lumikas matapos mag-deklara ng total lockdown sa ilang parte ng Batangas.  (push.com)
