Heartbroken Ai Ai asks for prayers for embattled Jiro Manio

  • Popular comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas turned emotional after learning about the altercation involving former child actor Jiro Manio.

On Saturday, a complaint for frustrated homicide was reportedly lodged against Manio after he was accused of stabbing a certain Zeus Doctolero in Marikina City.

In an 11-minute video which she posted on her Instagram page, Delas Alas explained how heartbroken she is over what’s happening to Manio since she has treated him like her own son for years.

The comedienne shared how she helped the former actor from the time he was seen roaming around the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 for days in 2015.

Siguro nasa P60,000 a month siya noon dito sa may Quezon City,” she added.

After around six to eight months, Delas Alas said Manio was able to get out of the rehabilitation facility as recommended by his doctor.

A week after, Delas Alas said she got Manio to sign a deal with GMA-7 where he himself will bring to life his own story in a drama anthology.

Ganun ‘yung utak niya,” she said.

It was at that time when she realized that Manio hasn’t perhaps fully recovered yet, which was why she sent him to another rehabilitation facility.

So ang nangyari, after noon, kinonsult ko siyempre ‘yung doktora niya kung anong gagawin, bakit ganun,” she said.

Doon ko siya ni-rehab ulit for the second time,” she added.

Delas Alas said Manio stayed in Bataan from 2016 up to the first quarter of 2018.

Disheartened, Delas Alas felt Manio does not appreciate her efforts to help him get back to his feet.

So ako, wala na. Nawalan na ako ng pag-asa na wala na, parang hindi na magbabago si Jiro,” she said.

After that incident, Delas Alas said she and Manio have lost communication.

Right now, she only prays for the best for the former actor amid the current controversy he’s involved in.

(abs-cbn)
