  • Gloria Diaz is not yet ready for the upcoming wedding of her daughter, Isabelle Daza.

“I am not ready,” Diaz recalled was her reply to corporate guy Adrien Semblat when he first asked Isabelle’s hand for marriage, in an interview with Mario Dumaual aired in “Bandila” on Tuesday.

It was this month when Isabelle finally announced her engagement to Semblat, which happened in Turkey last year.

Daza thought her daughter, who is currently 27, would marry at the age of 30. The former beauty queen herself got married at the age of 36.

“I got married at 36, dalawa pa anak. So okay, baka mga 30 puwede na. Still too young, ako nga I’ve been going out with my boyfriend nineteen years, I’m still not ready,” she said.

“Wala na akong magagawa,, hindi na ako makakaimik. It’s not my choice, e, I can just suggest,” she added.

Asked to react to her mom’s statement, Isabelle said that her mom “will never be ready to let me go.”

Isabelle’s wedding is set to happen before December this year in Tuscany. (PS)
