  • gerald_andersonMANILA, Philippines – An emotional Gerald Anderson broke into tears during the press conference for his and Kim Chiu’s movie “Till My Heartache Ends” held at Dolphy Theater, Oct. 12.

Gerald cried unabashedly as he admitted his mistakes and of having caused problems and heartaches to Kim, with whom, he said, he developed a special relationship during the past four years of their loveteam.

The young actor became so affected that he had to be brought to a clinic where he hyperventilated which prevented him from returning to the presscon. If reports are true, Star Cinema’s latest Kimerald film, “Till My Heartache Ends,” could be the last project of the love team.

And like the rumored demise of their on and off camera relationship, their once “undisputed” tandem in showbiz is said to be ending soon. Mico del Rosario of Star Cinema explained that this direction in their careers is inevitable, a part of their growth in showbiz.

“Eventually after this movie, maghihiwalay na sila parang John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. Dapat na iba na ang mga partners nila. It’s like their graduation,” said Mico.
He added that they have had dialogues with the Kimerald fans and most of them understand their career move. Those who have a harder time “letting go” are their TFC subscribers fans.

“Nagtataka nga po si Gerald kung bakit nahahati ang mga fans. Sana maging okay na lang lahat. Sana tanggapin na lang la-hat ng mga mangyayari. Ang hindi nila alam kapag nagsasalita sila ng masama, ako ang nasasaktan,” Kim said.

Kim also expressed disappointment over fans who allegedly threatened to “kill Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson” or throw acid on Bea’s face. Bea Alonzo is the rumored new girlfriend of Gerald Anderson and the alleged reason for the Kimerald break-up.

“Sana tanggapin na lang natin kung anuman ang nangyayari. At sana maging masaya tayo at intindihin na may personal din kaming buhay,” said Kim, who then also broke into tears.

Despite her sadness, Kim is still very thankful to the Kimerald fans. She also understands why most of them empathize with her. The young actress hopes for things to go back to the way they were with the Kimerald fans. “Talagang inaalalayan nila kami since nagsimula kami. Salamat na nandyan sila para umalalay sa akin. Sana matapos na ang hindi pagkakaintindihan kasi hindi na maganda,” she said.

Kim defended Gerald by saying that he is only human who makes mistakes. With that, she sought their fans’ understandings and forgiveness. Gerald, on the other hand, groped for words in explaining what transpired between him and Kim. He rambled on about his being a hero during the Ondoy typhoon tragedy, to the reason he auditioned in “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition,” to becoming a role model and to people who may have forgotten that he is not perfect.
