YRM Elects New Board

  • Chairman Emeritus Margarita Juico led the Yellow Ribbon Movement in the election of new members of the board on June 27. “For the last five years, YRM has been successful in its pro-poor advocacies as well as its good governance initiatives. The past board held by Raqui Garcia, Marimil Villareal, Nikko Dayrit, Popsy Aquino, and Chuchi Villar, has worked very hard to be where we are now,” said Juico.

    Executive Director Raqui Garcia introduced the outgoing board members and committee chairs, who are as follows: Juico, Chairman; Marimil Villareal, Secretary; Nikko Dayrit, Treasurer; Cholo Kawada, Auditor; Members Popsy Aquino, Chairman of the Membership Committee; Cristy Angeles; Lalin Basilio, Chairman of the Liturgical Committee; Chuchi Villar, PR Chairman; and Robbie Pangilinan, Media Committee Chairman.

    The Board of Trustees for 2015 to 2017 are: Margie Juico, Chairman Emeritus; Aleta Tolentino, Chairman; Yoli Bacani, President; Tonette Manalo, Secretary; Nikko Dayrit, Treasurer; Rhod Marasigan, Auditor; Robbie Pangilinan, PR and Media Committee Chair; Lalin Basilio, Liturgical Committee Chair; Raqui Garcia, Special Projects Chair; Teena Sarino, Ways and Means Committee Chair and Pam Munne.

    A YRM General Assembly and induction of the new officers will be held on Saturday,the first of August in the afternoon followed by a Eucharistic Celebration to commemorate the sixth death anniversary of Highlands. It was a day of cheers, games, and laughter, as well as great food from lunch to dinner. Aquino, who was the Inspiration of the YRM.

    YRM2The Yellow Ribbon Movement (YRM) bade goodbye to the outgoing members of the Board of Directors and Committee Chairs on July 13, in a simple celebration hosted by Chairman Emeritus Margie Juico at the Tagaytay Cholo Kawada, Auditor; Popsy Aquino, Member and Chairman of the Membership Committee; Cristy Angeles, Member; Lalin Basilio, Chairman of the Liturgical Committee; Chuchi Villar, Chairman for PR; and Robbie Pangilinan, Chairman for Media.

    “The YRM continues to uphold its advocacy, with the leadership of its old and new board members. Everyone works and will still work hard to make the Philippines a better place, in any little way that we can. For the old BOT, this is not goodbye, but thank you, for all that you’ve done that made YRM what it is now,” said Juico.
