  • derekramseyDerek Ramsay’s estranged wife, Mary Christine Jolly Ramsay, has filed another complaint against the actor this time for concubinage. She has filed the same charges against his former girlfriend, actress Angelica Panganiban. In a complaint she filed on Wednesday, October 8 at the Office of the City Prosecutor in Paranaque City, Mary Christine cited “overwhelming pieces of evidence” that Derek and Angelica lived together in Marina Heights Subdivision, Sucat Parañaque, City for five years, “despite knowledge of my marriage with respondent Derek.”

Mary Christine also cited an article in the April 2013 issue of “Star Studio” magazine, where Angelica supposedly said Derek suggested they live together “and transform their relationship into a setup just like that of husband and wife.”

Mary Christine’s complaint affidavit also said that Angelica knew about Derek’s marriage before she (Angelica) entered the relationship.

The affidavit of the actor’s estranged wife also cited photos on social and print media, showbiz interviews and rerpots on Derek and Angelica’s travels abroad.

    Derek’s lawyer reacts
Derek’s legal counsel, lawyer Joji Alonso, meanwhile, said in a statement to media that “the move (of Mary Christine) is but another ploy to harass Derek to give in to her demands, since she failed in the VAWC (Violence Against Women and Children) case.”

Mary Christine filed an earlier complaint against Derek for allegedly violating Republic Act 9262 or the Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.

Alonso attacked Mary Christine’s new complaint on concubinage as “a continuing effort to try Derek by pub¬licity.”

The lady lawyer also lamented that “it is so unfortunate that she (Mary Christine) had to drag Angel (Angelica) into her witch hunt.”

In an earlier interview, Derek said he was fighting for his rights as a dad and wants to provide for the needs of his 11-year-old son, especially where his education is concerned.

Meanwhile, Angelica’s lawyer, Atty. Francis Aguilar said the actress has no comment on the complaint for now since she has not yet received a copy of the document. Aguilar said Angelica will respond to the issue once she sees the complaint.
