Personal and Group Training with Smart Body Fitness!

Dear PNT readers! Here is the conclusion of our earlier feature on Getting your SmartBody ready for Summer:

Important Facts

Muscle strength decreases 30% on average between mid and senior years, with even more dramatic strength loss after 80. Endurance training improves the aerobic function of muscles. Resistance training improves central nervous system recruitment, increases muscle mass and improves aerobic/anaerobic function in older folks.

Exercise and physical activity are good for just about everyone. There are 4 main types and doing all these will give you compounded benefits: Endurance, or aerobic, activities increase your breathing and heart rate. Brisk walking or jogging, dancing, swimming, and biking are good examples; Strength exercises make your muscles stronger. Lifting weights or using a resistance band can build strength; Balance exercises help prevent falls; and Flexibility exercises stretch your muscles and help your body stay limber.

Working with a Personal Trainer

Here are the “Top Ten Reasons why one Hires a Personal Trainer”

Having a personal trainer has certainly made a huge difference in my quest to: regaining my strength, endurance and reaching my desired body weight. I can personally vouch for each of the above reasons!
