During Emergencyperiod ( November 8, 2013 to March 30, 2014),
During the early recovery, the PRC supported 90,779 families (453,895 individuals) with cash assistance. A total of PhP 281,529,900.oo or US$6,256,208was distributed from December 2013 to March 2014. The Unconditional cash for relief given per family is ranging from PhP 2,000 and PhP5,000.
In the RECOVERY PHASE the PRC assisted the affected families in the areas of Shelter, Livelihood, Health, Water Sanitation & Hygiene and Education in:
• 9 provinces
• 3 Cities and 73 Municipalities
• 762 barangays
• 1,224,413 Individuals
SHELTER – 66,011 home built for Typhoon Yolanda victims amounting to PhP 2.2 billion
LIVELIHOOD:
• 59218 families benefited out of conditional cash grants
• 1,109 individuals are enrolled in skills training (ages 18-36); 135 individulas completed training and are already employed
• 6,001 individuals supported with livelihood technical training.
HEALTH:
• 38 health facilities have been repaired and reconstructed.
• 77 health facilities (60 rural health units, 17 district hospitals) were provided with medical equipment.
• 121 communities participated in community- based health programming and mobilized 1,145 Red Cross 143 volunteers in implementing the program.
• 42,222 individuals assisted with medical consultations, health promotion and health care referral and supplemental feeding.
WATER SANITATION & HYGIENE:
• 32 schools were provided with wated and sanitation facilities
• 55,503 families (277,515 individuals) participated in hygiene promotion activites and provided with water and sanitation facilities.
EDUCATION:
• 410 classrooms were rehabilitated and reconstructed
• 5,083 school kits were distributed
