Sarah Geronimo wasn’t able to hold back her tears just two songs into her intimate concert The Great Unknown Unplugged at the KIA Theater on Tuesday, November 29.
The Popstar Royalty’s latest sold-out show featured all her songs from her latest album The Great Unknown, as well as, a few of her other original hits.
“Matagal ko napong gustong magkaroon ng full show featuring all my songs from my latest album,” she began.
The concert performer stressed that she wanted to highlight not just a few songs but “all the original compositions that are included in this album because each song has a story to tell.”
Sarah had local alternative group Hale, with whom she sang “The Great Unknown” with, and her Daddy Delfin Geronimo, with whom she performed “Christmas in our Hearts” with, as her guests on the show.
“Pinagdasal ko talaga na maging espesyal ang gabing ito,” she said halfway through the show.
Apart from her songs from the album, Sarah also performed her classic hits like “Forever’s Not Enough” and an acoustic rendition of her songs “Ikot Ikot” and “Kilometro.”
It was only during the latter part of her show when Sarah finally took the time to explain why she was brought to tears by her show.
“Parang hindi ko kayang paniwalaan na makikita ko pa kayo. Kaya ako’y talagang naging emotional…” she said.
Sarah continued, “Kaya nagpapasalamat ako sa Diyos dahil hindi naman ako worthy sa pagtitiwala niyo na marinig akong kumanta at mag-perform. Pero hindi ko alam kung ano ang ginawa sa inyo ni Lord.”
