Marriage can wait – Heart

‘Hindi pa ako sawa sa pagiging dalaga ko. – Heart Evangelista’ HEART Evangelista was re­ported then to be sore at GMA-7 because she has had no project with them after her last afternoon soap, “Forever,” ended. How true is this? “It’s not true kasi hindi naman ako pinababayaan ng GMA,” she says. “Wala nga akong soap but I’m hosting ‘I Bilib’ with Chris Tiu and Moymoy Palaboy regu­larly. Co-host din ako ng ‘Star- talk’ ngayon and I even got to interview Taylor Lautner for them.

Nasa ‘Sunday All Stars’ din ako and I also just guested in the drama show, ‘Wagas.’ At ngayon, magkakaroon na ako ng bagong soap, ‘Bayarang Puso,’ with Sid Lucero and Dominic Roco, directed by Maryo de los Reyes to replace ‘Maghihintay Pa Rin.’ So­brang busy nga ako ngayon as I’m now also shooting a movie, ‘My Trophy Wife’ with Derek Ram­say and Cristine Reyes, directed by Elwood Perez.”

What about the rumor that she and Sen. Chiz Escudero are already secretly married? “It’s not true. Bakit naman kailangang i­ secret pa?” It’s allegedly because her par­ents are against it. “I’m already 28 years old at hindi na ako teen­ager na sobrang bata pa, so I can now make my own decisions. The truth is I’m just not yet ready for marriage. That can wait. Busy pa ako at enjoy pa ako sa career ko. Hindi pa ako sawa sa pagiging dalaga ko.” (M. Bautista, Malaya)
