On her evening program “Aquino & Abunda Tonight,” the television host said she respects what the Revilla family is going through but pointed out the high trust rating received by the President.
“To this day 72 percent of the Philippines, of the Filipino citizens, say that he enjoys the trust and the support of the people. So let it be that,” she said. Kris added that the issue is not about his brother or his presidency, but with the alleged misuse of the Priority Development Assistance.
“This is an issue about pork barrel na thank God walang kinalaman si Noy (President) doon. Malinis ang konsensiya ng kapatid ko kaya malakas ang loob niya na isulong ang paglilinis ng gobyerno,” she said.
The presidential sister agrees that it is Revilla’s right to speak for himself, but she is also coming to defend the President.
“Nabigyan siya (Revilla) ng all that time. So, karapatan din naman na sabihin ko na ako ay bilib sa kapatid ko at pakiramdam ko na majority ng Pilipinas still agree with me. At ‘yung two years na paulit ulit, well, it’s still two years. I’m sorry, ‘yun lang ‘yun,” she said.
Kris ended her comment by saying, “That’s why I love Jinggoy (Estrada)… Diba sinabi ko nga ‘yun na ‘silence is better than BS’.”
Aside from Revilla, Senators Jinggoy Estrada and Senate Minority Leader Juan Ponce Enrile are facing charges before the Sandiganbayan for allegedly pocketing millions of public funds. (Sunnex)
