The actor aired the promise in response to a follower’s tweet. “Love you both… Alagaan mo po sya ha? Hope kayo na forever,” Twitter account Cristine Reyes Fans (@4everaadiks) addressed to both Derek and Cristine on the social networking site. The Fil-Brit actor replied, “I will. I promise.”
In response to Derek’s post, Cristine posted a photo of herself with the caption: “Not just your girl. I am your everything.”
Reyes also spelled out the numbers 8, 28 and 2013 which seem to indicate the day when they became a couple. Cristine was previously linked to Rayver Cruz and John Lloyd Cruz. Cristine and Derek co-starred in the blockbuster hit “No Other Woman” and talks about their relationship surfaced while doing the movie. Cristine admitted she and Derek are crazy with each other.
“We’re both baliw and outgoing. Yung pagiging close niya sa family niya, yun ang pinakagusto ko sa kanya. Ilang beses ko nang na-meet ang parents niya and they’re okay,” she said. The two are now shootingr their second big-screen project together, “Trophy Wife,” under the production of Viva Films.
Earlier, Cristine admitted they were indeed going out. “Yes, lumalabas kami. Niyaya pa niya ko nang tumulong siya doon sa mga binaha ng Typhoon Maring. Namili kami sa supermarket at pinamigay namin sa evacuation center,” she said.
It was gathered that Derek dumped a non-showbiz GF called Alexa in favor of Cristine. The actress, however, would not discuss the matter. “I cannot answer that. Siya na lang tanungin nyo,” she said.
“We’ve been good friends since we did ‘No Other Woman’ two years ago at never nawala yung friendship namin,” Derek revealed.
The couple’s friend and co-star in the movie, Anne Curtis, said she was both surprised and happy about the news that Derek and Cristine have finally admitted their relationship.
