NEWS RELEASE

Typhoon Kristine devastated the Bicol Region in the Philippines last October. Because of the massive flooding, lives were lost, and properties were heavily damaged. People needed help with rehabilitation.

Funds was disbursed from The Emergency and Calamity Fund thru Rotary Club of Vancouver Mountain View (RCVM). RCVM coordinated with Rotary District 3820 and its associated Clubs
RC Naga City, Camarines Sur; RC Bauan, Batangas; and RC Atimonan, Quzon.

The relief effort was named “TABANG SA BICOL”. Thru these Philippine Rotary Clubs, various housewares were bought such as cooking pots, plates, fork and spoon, pitchers, pail, mugs basin and were distributed to 100 household.

District 3820 is under the jurisdiction of Past District Governor, Everett Olivan, District Governor, Arnold Mendoza. And District Disaster chair, Neneth Profeta. They were very grateful for the help extended to those people who were in need.
